2nd International Caparica Conference in Antibiotic Resistance

Recently, IFORD sponsored the International Caparica Conference in Antibiotic Resistance. The was located in Caparica, Portugal and was held on June 12th – 15th, 2017.
We are pleased to announce that the Conference went very well. It was attended by two hundred scientists from thirty seven different nations. The IFord presentation was well received as the attendees were brought up to date on the growing threat of the super bacteria that are currently present in today’s healthcare facilities.
Many followed up with our presenter, Christopher Garner PE after to continue the conversation. The alarming fact that disease transmission that is occurring within the healthcare industry is infecting and killing some two hundred and fifty thousand (250,000) patients annually. Super bacteria are living and thriving in under-engineered facilities and millions of lives have been lost over the recent years.
Engineering Healthy Hospitals is a solution that could save lives and prevent super bacteria from developing. Our presenter, Christopher Garner PE recently authored what he sees as the “first effort to shine a light on the solvable problems of healthcare-acquired disease”. His book, Engineering Healthy Hospitals marries the engineering and healthcare communities to provide rea, tested solutions to what many see as a “silent crisis”.
